United Airlines fare hike spares Hawaii
April 25th, 2008
Hawaii was spared an increase in air fares announced by United Airlines Thursday.
United spokeswoman Robin Urbanski said increases of between 3 percent and 5 percent would apply to flights everywhere in the U.S. except to and from Hawaii.
The fare increase, aimed at offsetting rising fuel costs, is the third this month by Chicago-based United (Nasdaq: UAUA) no teletrak payday loans. The company added $10 to $20 to its fuel surcharge on round-trip tickets on April 16. Earlier in the month, it increased fares by between $4 and $30 on round-trip flights.
