Clothing shops close their doors

Fleur’t Boutique in North Scottdale and Spoken Boutique in downtown Phoenix are closing their doors.

Fleur’t Boutique will be closing its doors at the end of April at Gainey Village Shops. A liquidation sale will start on Friday with items sold at 20 to 50 percent off retail prices.

Under the ownership of Kori Davidson, the boutique found success over the past few years specializing in designer clothing and jewelry carrying names such as Monarchy, John Varvatos, Prada Denim and Rock N Republic Denim for men, women and children as well as home decor items low interest rate personal loans. The economy, however, has led to a decision to close.

Spoken Boutique will close its location at 610 E. Roosevelt St. at the end of March. It also is holding a liquidation sale.

The boutique had operated for four years under the ownership of Amber Dennison and Jodi Mickelson. The owners say the decision to close was based on a "rethinking" of life.
