American Airlines pulling out of Oakland International Airport
American Airlines is canceling its services in and out of Oakland International Airport effective Sept. 3 due to high fuel prices, according to a spokesman for the airline.
"Oakland is a victim of very, very high fuel prices," Wagner said. The airline previously stated it would reduce its domestic flying by 5 percent.
Three round-trip American Airline flights to and from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport fly out of Oakland, Wagner said credit scores.
The airline said it will work to accommodate passengers with flights out of Mineta San Jose International Airport and San Francisco International Airport.
There are 36 daily American Airlines departures out of San Francisco and 15 out of San Jose.
